You don't need to pay anyone to find what is already out there for free. Visit these sites to find a grant that fits your profile.
All Goverment Grants are listed on this site: www.grants.gov
For Private Grant Money, check the npguide site, or the Foundation Directory at your local library (in the reference section). In the Foundation Directory you will find descriptions of every private grant foundation in the United States. You may have to travel to a larger city if you live in a rural area. Whether your grant money is for science or art projects, children or the homeless, Grants range from a few hundred to thousands of dollars.
While the number of private grants available substantial, the number of government grants outdoes private by far. You should be able find everything you need if you look.
You can apply if you meet the qualifications for the grant. Grants are funds allocated for specific purposes, so many times they will specify a particular type of business or person who may receive it. Simply check and see if you fit into the guidelines and go for it.
